Monica Rouvellas regularly performs at concert venues and live music venues across Australia including the Sydney Opera House and City Recital Hall, Angel Place, having performed as both a soloist, ensemble member and orchestral member for various concerts and events.

 

She began playing violin at the age of 6 thanks to Australian composer Matthew Hindson, and at the age of 9, made her first television appearance along side Peter Coombs on Channel 9's The Midday Show with Kerrie-Ann.

 

Monica was awarded a music scholarship to a top Sydney Girls' Private High School, and after completing her HSC, she was accepted into the Bachelor of Music course at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney, also on a scholarship.

 

Monica is the violinist for Mystique's signature string trio and string quartet, an all-girl string ensemble that performs for weddings, functions, corporate events, original compositions, recording sessions and live shows.  Monica has written various string quartet music for this ensemble inspired by the all-girl quartet Bond.

 

As a session violinist, she has recently played on Set Sail's Who Are You, for their latest EP Hey! which features a groovy disco violin riff over the sounds of the beach.  Monica is also a regular session violinist in many Sydney recording studios including Studio 301 and Trackdown.

 

Monica also has performed for school concerts, HSC performances and University recitals. She also regularly performs with various chamber ensembles and orchestras.
